Description
Mizuna (ミズナ（水菜, "water greens"), is a leafy green plant with a mildly peppery and spicy taste. It is popular in Asian cuisine like hot pots or as stir-fried. Mizuna can also be used in salads. Both the stems and the leaves are edible. Younger leaves have a stronger taste, and the plant can also be grown as a microgreen.
Mizuna has a high rate of growth for new leaves making a constant stable harvest possible. With a regular pruning the plant will not flower and can be grown for up to 12 months. Recommended change of plants is within between 8-12 months.
